Theoretic research was inspired by the idea that architectural spaces can affect people emotionally and desire to find ways how to apply it in future architectural projects. Baltic community is in a great need of a sacred space of their own, for communal gatherings, rituals and education about their ways. The point of the project is not to try to recreate old Baltic religion, but to give people an opportunity to interpret it in their own way. It will contain a community center, a library and, most importantly, a ritual space, which gradually converts into a sacred temple. The ritual space is based on four essential elements – water, fire, ground and air, which are believed to be the basis of the world and its creation. During the ritual, based on archetype of worlds’ creation, you take a path of regeneration, which helps you let go of the old and welcome the new.
