Compressive Strength of Concrete Cylinder Made with Different Ratio of Recycled Aggregates and Waste Ceramic Tiles
In today’s world, environmental pollution is increasing day by day. One of the major cause of this environmental pollution is the demolition of old and deteriorated structures and their replacement with new ones. For this reason, the volume of demolished concrete is growing gradually, which is producing a lot of waste and ultimately polluting the environment. On the other hand, production and application of concrete is also rising with the rapid industrialization around the world, which results in increased utilization of natural aggregates. Therefore, recycling of demolished concrete and waste ceramic tile is becoming popular all over the world, as it can solve two problems at the same time. It can solve the disposal problems of demolished concrete as well as can preserve the natural resources. This study represents a comparison in the compressive strength of concrete by the application of recycled aggregates and waste ceramic tiles in different ratio (0%, 25%, 50%, 75% and 100%) based on experimental data.
