Opportunities for research in water-based fire suppression at the National Fire Laboratory
Research projects that could be conducted at the NFL in conjunction with industry or other partners, which would be of value to the Canadian construction industry and which would compliment what is being done in other countries, are discussed. A ranking system is used to allow comparisons to be made of the relative merit of one topic versus another. Projects that involvepurchase of critical equipment or investment in developing expertise that is prerequisite to performing other research are identified. The report concludes with a table &recommended research bpics to be considered over the next 3 to 5 years at the National Fire Laboratory. ; On examine ici les projets de recherche qui pourraient être mis en oeuvre au Laboratoire national de l'incendie (LNI), conjointement avec l'industrie ou d'autres partenaires, lesquels projets seraient précieux du point de vue de l'industrie de la construction au Canada et viendraient compléter les efforts d'autres pays. Un système de classement est utilisé pour permettre de comparer les mérites relatifs des différents sujets de recherche. On identifie les projets comportant l'achat d'équipement critique ou un investissement quelconque dans le développement d'une expertise constituant une condition préalable à la réalisation d'autres recherches.
