The architect Víctor Iñurria has performed a rigorous research work regarding the trades and tools common in medieval building by means of pictures and illustrations of outstanding beauty. The paper, which was originally intended as a compendium of Valencia´s contribution to medieval architecture, goes beyond this purpose to set up universal relationships. Taking into account the general ignorance about this topic and the meticulousness of the work, it is no doubt a precious contribution to history, the knowledge of architecture and the practice of architectural preservation and restoration.
