The article examines trends in the development of automotive interior design from the point of view of de-objectification. Examples of car interiors are considered and compared in terms of time, human role, function, and method of interaction. Trends in the development of automotive interior design are identified. Conclusions are made concerning the metamorphoses of the car interior functional spatial environment.
