New approaches in education for personnel in strategic traffic development
The paper deals with the modern education of personnel in traffic. First, it points to the importance of transport in the development of the economy and society and its role in the European Union and Southeast Europe. Then the development of traffic is defined by the strategic documents of the European Union, emphasizing the huge investments (financial resources) in the transport infrastructure and in general in traffic. Thereafter, new concepts of education of personnel in traffic and new technologies will be considered, that will previously influence the education of these personnel. Afterwards, new concepts for education of personnel in transport are being considered: Quality of higher education; Internationalization of higher education; Permanent (lifelong) education; Dual education; Practical teaching; Research education. Finally, in the Conclusion, the results of the work are summed up and the proposals are presented.
