Carl Sauer and Denis Cosgrove: Landscape and the Past
This study compares the contributions of Carl Sauer and Denis Cosgrove for the
themes of landscape and the past. Similarities and differences are identified as well as how the work of one complements that of the other and so express different moments of Anglo-Saxon Cultural Geography. Landscape as morphology or as a scene full of meaning and the past seen through different temporal or thematic scales define the different matrixes that distinguish the contributions of Sauer from those of Cosgrove.
