This text is a review of the latest book by the French-Lebanese architect Mazen Haïdar, La ferronnerie architecturale à Beyrouth au XXe siècle, published by Éditions Geuthner in Paris in 2021. It is the first book to list the elements of architectural ironwork in a city of the Arab world. It proposes to consider this art as a way to better understand an endangered architectural heritage, in order to raise awareness about its preservation.
