Windows use in school buildings: findings on the influence of occupants’ actions
Window use in school environment was investigated through a monitoring campaign, recording occupancy, environmental parameters and users’ adaptive actions. Indoor and outdoor temperatures are the main driving factors for window opening and closing. Window use is also deeply influenced by daily routine and occupants’ habits. Behavioural models to predict window status were developed using linear and logistic regression analysis.
