The Mechanical Waves Effects Induced by the Underground Rock Blasting Technology on Adjacent Constructions
This article presents the effect of mechanical waves on an adjacent building due to the rock blasting process during the construction of a tunnel. The rock blasting process is simulated using a 3D finite element model. To reduce the dynamic effect transmitted by the underground work, different types of trenches are analysed.
