The recognition of the value of territorial heritage in Tuscany as a common good of all citizens represents the basis of the government’s policies. These policies regulate all the planning and man-ageing activities of the uses and transformations of the land. The Regional Law 65/2014 on territorial governance defines heritage as “the set of long-lasting structures produced by the co-evolution between the natural environment and human settlements”.
