The aim of this paper is to investigate the representation of maintenance, taking the social housing of Bologna as case studies. These examples allow to develop this topic around a particular category of buildings that belong to modern period as far as formal and technological solutions are concerned, but that have inherited local and morphological characteristics that have made them integrate in the local urban context.
