Risk management in the insurance by AHP method
Insurance companies are complex business systems that provide their clients with insurance services - indemnification in case of occurrence of unfavorable events. Insurance process depends on a large number of factors that directly and indirectly affect the business performance of insurance companies. The aim of this paper is to present a risk assessment approach of non-life insurance companies. This approach is based on the application of AHP method that enables hierarchical decomposition of a problem. Input data for AHP method is collected by means of survey of a greater number of professionals in the field of insurance, from various insurance companies in the Republic of Serbia. Output results indicate risk categories that have the greatest influence on the overall business risk of insurance companies.
