RESEARCH ON KINETIC FEATURES OF THE THREAD LOOSENESS FAULT IN THE CONNECTION BETWEEN PISTON ROD AND CROSSHEAD OF THE RECIPROCATING COMPRESSOR
Regarded as one of the major faults,the screw looseness fault in the connection between piston rod and crosshead was studied. To simulate the thread looseness failure,a multi-body dynamic model of the reciprocating compressor motion was created. It draws a conclusion that the change trends of the average settlement value and the peak-peak value can reflect the extent of thread loosening failure. Compared with the actual failure cases,the dynamic model is proved to be reasonable.
