With the partial project for Munich entitled “Mobility and Communication — Strategies and Visions for the City and the Region” in the framework of the combined project “Future Munich 2030” the attempt was made to understand mobility and communication as integrative forces of urban society and as generators for urban society and urban culture. With special regard to Munich, whose society is characterised by varied Interactive discourses and an individual public urban culture, the question of the urban relationship in the context of the future city region has gained a particular significance.
