Cube satellites: A star gate for small countries
Begging of commercialization of space at the raise of 21st century and brilliant idea for development of a concept of standardized class of satellites, led to extension of space club, which previously consisted exclusively of leading scientific and technological powers, with small countries without capabilities for direct access to space. Through this concept, academic institutions from developing and transition countries got the opportunity to improve their educational and research capacities with minimal costs, and even to participate in very ambitious missions which go beyond the orbital space around our planet. Further development of this market, as well as increasing number of accessible programs offered by the leading space agencies leads to continuation of exponential growth of participation of these countries in future space projects, which will consequently result in dramatical improvement of their scientific and technological level.
