Geist as a retreat for the wealthy, it brought some famous and powerful people to the Pinelands and the NJ Shore during its private ownership. Notables include Bing Crosby, Ben Hogan, Grace Kelly, The Rolling Stones, Bob Dylan and Presidents Eisenhower, Harding, Nixon, and Hoover.
