Eine Plattform für die Wissenschaft: Bauingenieurwesen, Architektur und Urbanistik
This is a 3D scan (point cloud) of an exhibition space created in the context of the DuraArK-Project. The project developed methods and tools for the Long-Term Preservation (LTP) of architectural knowledge, including approaches to: Enrich Building Information Models with “as built” information from scans, semantically enrich building models with additional data sets, preserve 3D models for future reuse.
The original building was a late-Romanesque, which was replaced by a larger Gothic building around 1500. Towards the end of the century a tower was built to the west of the nave. It was completed in 1591, and is a monumental example of the Renaissance architecture. In 1909 J. C. Jacobsen, donated a new spire. A few years later Permanent Secretary Rentzmann donated the funds to build a Gothic nave – a shorter version of the one that had burnt to the ground.
Since 1957, when Knud Petersen opened his art library, the building has played a significant role in contemporary art. It is located in the heart of the inner city close to Kongens Nytorv.
