Effects of radiant heat on reinforced-concrete rigid frames
Analytical method of finding moments at knee and crown of rigid frame subjected to temperature changes caused by radiant heat from sun; in order to present numerical computations for structure of known cross section, two-span highway bridge, previously designed for H-20 loading, was used; analysis shows that radiant heat moment at crown of specific frame used is equal to 35.5% of maximum design moment.
