Sediment investigations -- Middle Rio Grande
Comprehensive data collection program was developed for use in channel rectification plan that would alleviate aggradation problem caused by sediment depositions in Middle Rio Grande Valley in New Mexico which extends approximately 163 river mi; as result of special analyses, modified Einstein procedure was adopted for computing total sediment load at single cross section for 301 special measurements; data were used to develop total sediment load rating curves and hydraulics and sediment transport relationships in design of channel rectification.
