Analysis of short span folded plates
Plate was analyzed considering 2 way slab action and nonlinear normal stress distribution between fold lines; slab is considered continuous over fold lines and simply supported at end diaphragms; membrane stresses are computed by treating plates as deep beams; compatibility at fold lines is satisfied by equalizing longitudinal displacements; final moments and stresses are compared with Goldberg and Leve's elasticity method.
