Resonance testing of full-scale structures
System of synchronized counter-rotating eccentric weight vibration generators suitable for resonance testing of full-scale structures is described; special electronically controlled amplidyne drive permits speed control to 0.1% and stable operation in structures having damping as low as 1/2% critical; force generator units can be distributed in structures in various phase relations to permit separation of separate modes of vibration.
