Vibrational transfer from shear buildings to ground
Mechanism presented to show vibratory energy transfer involves wave travel and reflection constants; due to fact that simplified mechanism fails to consider some geometrical continuity requirements, notably near interface perimeter, modified method for circumventing this defect is presented; radiation loss of vibratory energy from building is related to that of pseudo damping phenomenon involving stepwise, half cycle decreases in vibrational amplitudes.
