Christ King Lutheran Church in Delafield, Wis, takes shape of pyramid with its triangular base; it is dominated by 16-ft high skylight located 42ft to base above nave floor; building includes multitude of irregular-shaped classroom, office, fellowship and worship areas, but lighting solutions described center primarily on worship and narthex areas; three basic lighting techniques were used in solution to four physical characteristics of building; use of direct-component luminaires of indirect lighting and of direct lighting from specially-designed luminaires is described and illustrated.
