Face ventilation in underground bituminous coal mines -- Airflow characteristics of flexible, spiral-reinforced ventilation tubing
Methods and results of studies to determine friction and shock losses encountered in auxiliary face ventilation systems utilizing flexible, spiral-reinforced ventilation tubing are presented; results, tabulated in graphic form, simplify fan selection and enable mine operators to design adequate auxiliary ventilation systems; sample problem illustrates use of graphs.
