Behavior of small gas bubbles in accelerated liquid
Time dependent motion of small gas bubbles in liquids subjected to linear pressure gradient was studied; expression for bubble slip, was derived as function of liquid and gas densities, initial velocities, and liquid velocity gradient, for air in water, bubble slip asymptotically approaches zero for uniform flow, independent of initial bubble and liquid velocities, and approaches value of 0.9967 for highly accelerating flows.
