Profile of hydraulic jump
Generalized water-surface profile is presented for hydraulic jumps formed in smooth and horizontal rectangular channels; vertical scale is equal to 0.75 times height of jump, and dimensionless horizontal scale is related to supercritical Froude number; profile has been found to agree well with experimental data of B.A.Bakhmeteff, A.E. Matzke and others.
