Frameless glazing system for framed wood buildings and wood foundations for economy housing
Proposed method makes it feasible to bond window glazing directly to structural frame members of framed wood buildings and eliminates rough opening in framing; glazing is sealed to outside of vertical framing members; advantages and disadvantages of method are summarized; in second part of paper it is pointed out that, in some situations, wood foundations for wood houses make good economic and engineering sense.
