Quick-set slurry replaces sand seal
Toronto program of asphalt slurry instead of sand asphalt sealing for street repairs gives better results; streets were divided into two categories for preparatory and sealing operations; table shows aggregate sieve analysis of two products as well as National Slurry Seal Specification for mix used which contained approximately 79% aggregate, 20% emulsion and 1% cement, and was applied with average coverage over whole job of 11 lb of aggregate and 0.24 United States gal of emulsion/sq yd with approximately 3/8 in. thickness.
