Performance of single seals laid on designated highways of Victoria during period 1938-1959
Extension of original survey to 15 other designated highways of Victoria has confirmed first results on performance of reseals laid in 1938-1947 period; for both initial seals and reseals laid in 1948-1954 period, early performance was found to be better on highways of second survey; possible reasons for this difference are discussed; for one category of reseals laid in period 1948-1954 it was possible to assess early performance of quartz stone relative to other stone types used; on all highways early performance of quartz stone was inferior.
