Design and construction of office building in Vancouver, BC where all floors are hung on cables from top of central core; design is reported to solve problems due to earthquakes and cut structural costs by about 20%; 12 sets of cables hold floors in place; they run continuously from bottom to top to bottom on opposite side over reinforced concrete "saddle" at top of core; lowest of 12 floors is suspended at height of three stories above ground level, leaving space for landscaped mall and plaza below.
