Brief description is given of techniques and methods used for construction of prestressed concrete containment building for Gentilly Nuclear Power Station; containment building consists of base slab, circular wall, ring beam and dome; it has shape of cylinder measuring 120 ft ID, topped by spherical dome; total height is 175 ft measured from basement floor to top of dome; leak-tightness is achieved by use of epoxy-vinyl lining applied on interior surface of containment.
