Lobby, vestibule and canopy of Menasha Corp's new building in Neenah, Wis, are finished with wood-paneled and sandblasted concrete walls, carpeted floors, exposed wood deck ceilings and wood beams extending 28 in. below deck; installation of sprinkler system was mandatory, however, exposed sprinkler piping was not acceptable; luminaire choice was 16-in. diam sphere spaced 7 ft on center across width; specified lamp was traffic signal lamp; main cross bar of luminaire was made from two, 2×2×1/4 in. steel tubes welded together to form single piece visually, while remaining two separate ducts; upper tube accommodated water flow for sprinkler heads, while lower tube accommodated wiring for fixtures.
