Circular hydraulic jump
Authors show that hydraulic jumps involving radial flow, as in diverging stilling basins, have not been properly analyzed; dynamical considerations disclose that radial flow jump involves force not found in rectangular jump; as consequences, sequent depth and energy loss for radial jump are less and greater respectively than that for rectangular jump; experimental findings indicate that length of radial jump is less than that of rectangular jump.
