Salt water concrete
Reports from advance bases in Pacific covering results of using salty or brackish water for mixing concrete indicate low degree salinity, viz, 57 grains of NaCl per gal has no apparent adverse effect on concrete compressive strength, that use of brackish water does not result in any appreciable increase in corrosion of reinforcing steel and that cracking and spalling is not direct result of use of brackish water.
