Influence of size grading of sand on air entrainment
Experimental investigation with mixes of sand and water alone, 1:4 and 1:2 mortars, and concrete mixes to study effect of sand grading particularly with deficiency in finer fractions on entrained air; it was found that maximum air was entrained by 28-48 mesh size sand rather than 48-100 mesh size.
