Details of sheet joints, fastenings and construction technique; crown of flat locked soldered seam construction using 18 in. × 24in. × 20 oz squares; batten seam construction at sides with battens on 2 in. centers; roofing pans formed from sheets 26 in. × 96 in. × 16 oz; main portion of roof received approximately 116,000 lb of copper, about 2 tons of solder and 24,000 lineal ft of creosoted wood battens.
