Commercially pure aluminum, 0.004 in. thick, annealed and soft embossed, weighing 6 lb per sq ft, was used to replace 32,000 sq ft of worn out asphalt felts on building in Kearny, NJ; roofing consists of successive layers of asphalt felt, hot asphalt and aluminum sheet; bottom asphalt felt was placed on 2-in. cane fiber insulation.
