Reservoir at Staines, England, formed by continuous embankmentenclosing whole area means additional capacity of 4466 mg to present capacity of 3838 mg; dam consists of puddle clay core, filling, and 6-in. concrete slopes 4 1/2 in. and 2 1/2 to 1 in. thick on water side and land side, respectively; water depth is 52 ft; data on inlet and outlet works; construction was delayed by war conditions.
