Project has multiple purposes; utilization of 26,000 acres of agricultural land, development of 100 million kw-hr per yr, of potable water supply, and protection from floods in Yauco, Anasco, and Susua river basins; project includes five dams 60 to 200 ft high, 60,000 ft of tunnels 8 to 11 ft in diam, 1300 ft of pressure pipe lines, two hydroelectric power plants, 25 mi of irrigation pipe lines, and pumping stations; cost estimated at $27,000,000.
