Problem of hard deformable grains in polycrystalline metals of face-centered cubic structure
It is shown that in polycrystalline metals of f.c.c. structure, there may be certain number of hard deformable crystalline grains, in which planes and directions of slip are in exceptionally unfavorable condition and cannot be deformed even if multiple slip is taken into account; in some grains this deformation will take place beyond (111) plane system.
