Discusses need for quality rating of artificial light sources on basis of color temperatures and presents on two scales large number of color-temperature values for sunlight and daylight; new instrument is illustrated for color-temperature determinations; reference is made to quality spread in natural daylight with means for producing corresponding range in artificial daylighting accessories.
