Auxiliary installations for the construction of dams
Laying of huge blocks of concrete for building reservoir dams necessitates very extensive installations; of late years Swiss industry has constructed Waeggital dam with cast concrete; by means of hoisting tower, concrete, 260,000 cu. m., is distributed through systems of channels; such plant seems to present no difficulties beyond working of distributors; losses and obstructions in channels are always more easily remedied than those with cable crane.
