Review of literature, especially patents, from 1907 to 1928; asphalt emulsions are used for road building principally, but also for waterproofing paper, concrete, etc.; problems involved are formation, stabilization, and breaking of emulsion; literature covered discusses all these points and studies effects of properties of asphalt and of additional agents on qualities of emulsions obtained.
