Verification of theory for oblique standing waves
Experiments undertaken to verify hydrodynamic theory for both oblique hydraulic jumps and expansion waves with Froude numbers ranging from two to seven; position of standing waves caused by wall deflection and associated depth changes were observed and compared with existing theory; average agreement was of order of 2% for oblique jumps.
