Investigation of loads on three cast-iron pipe culverts under rock fills
Tests of 36-in. spiral corrugated culverts, under rock embankments, in Clayton County, show that rock fills act in manner analogous to earth fill and loads were produced in accordance with Marston's theory; maximum loads do not develop until considerable time has elapsed after embankment has been placed; suggested methods of safe construction.
