Measuring consistency of concrete
Main purpose of study was to determine whether there are simple methods to measure concrete's consistency at construction site; investigations indicate that P. Nycander's mobility tester and K.Walz's procedure to determine degree of compaction can be used on construction sites; in general Nycander's tube device seems to be preferable to Walz's method, although relationships between water content and consistency measure obtained with both methods are similar.
