Investigation of hot galvanized deformed bars as reinforcement in concrete was carried out; in short-time tests with galvanized steel embedded in concrete decreasing reactivity with time was found; in pull-out tests it was found that hot-galvanizing reduced bond stress at failure and increased slip in range of low steel stresses.
