Corrosion of reinforcement steel embedded in concrete
Purpose of study is to establish rust-preventing measures for concrete reinforcement; principles of electrochemical theory of steel corrosion are discussed basing on literature data and author's practice; factors influencing corrosion inception and propagation in uncracked as well as cracked concrete are examined; requirements are established regarding concrete composition, preparation, and thickness, with special emphasis on case of prestressed members reinforced with thin, high strength wires.
