Optimum steam curing procedures for structural lightweight concrete
Effect of various steam curing procedures on compressive strength, tensile splitting strength, and modulus of elasticity of structural light weight concrete is described; particular emphasis is given to steaming procedures compatible with time requirements of modern prestressing plants, and investigation was patterned after similar investigation of normal weight concrete; half-day curing cycle was also studied; investigation was restricted to single light weight aggregate without inclusion of natural sand.
